Zifa technical director, Nelson Matongorere will tonight know of his fate after the association’s disciplinary committee last month found him guilty of misconduct for voting on behalf of the Warriors captain on the 2012 Fifa Ballon D’or awards.

The football association’s disciplinary committee is chaired by former magistrate Andrew Msengezi, former referee Wilfred Mukuna, lawyers Wilbert Mandinde, Musekiwa Mbanje and Watson Muchengeti.

Zifa legal advisor, Ralph Maganga said Matongorere’s sentencing will be known tonight after the defence counsel and Zifa submitted mitigatory as well as aggravating statements respectively.

“Nelson Matongorere’s sentencing will be known today that is when he will know if he has been dismissed, reprimanded or given just a warning,” Maganga said.

Matongorere’s name appeared on Fifa’s official list of voters in January this year and he selected Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona’s Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi for the player of the year award.
