adminIN an article entitled, “BCC mulls staff rationalisation” in yesterday’s Business Chronicle, we erroneously reported that the Bulawayo City Council spends $23 million per month on salaries and allowances. We have since established that the figure is the actual expenditure on salaries and wages from January to May 2015.
The BCC actually spends an average of $2,7 million per month on salaries and allowances.
We unreservedly apologise to council and its stakeholders for any inconvenience caused by that error. – Editor.
