Matter of fact

On May 23, 2016, we published an article under the headline, “Social media fuels transactional sex”, which quoted various sources among them one “Yvonne Ndlovu” who was recently in Dubai on holiday.

It has since come to our attention that Yvonne Ndlovu, a Zimbabwean based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and her fiance were also in Dubai under similar circumstances quoted in the article.

In our article, we were in no way referring to Ndlovu but the freak coincidence has, however, been detrimental to her moral standing and we sincerely apologise for the confusion the article has caused. Any inconvenience caused to Ndlovu and her family is deeply regretted. — Editor.
