IN an article published in The Herald on February 15, 2023, we covered legal proceedings at the Harare Magistrate’s Court for the case of State and Georgios Katsimberis.
We reported and published an article titled, “Magistrate stops lawyer from lying in court”.
The article was based on a ruling of the court in circumstances where Miss Milliscent Moyo had made submissions to the contrary.
It has come to our attention through the record of proceedings on the day in question that in the morning Miss Moyo stated in her application for postponement that lead Counsel, Advocate Tinomudaishe Chinyoka, was scheduled to travel to South Africa later on the same date.
However, the court in its ruling, said Miss Moyo had stated that the lead Counsel had already travelled to South Africa and reprimanded her for lying.
