Mawiza hosts concert to launch EP, celebrate 30th birthday

KWAITO artiste Mawiza (real name Wisdom Moyo) is set to host a gig which will see him drop an EP titled Last Namba 2.0 at the same time celebrating his 30th birthday.

The event will be held on November 12 at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo car park and will start at 4pm.

Last Namba 2.0 is Mawiza’s follow-up EP from his 2019 offering Last Namba.

For the latest project, Mawiza worked alongside well-known producers, Skaiva, Skido Flex, Phanas and fellow Script and Bars nominee Ryan Synth on the production side.

The six-track multi-themed EP has tracks namely Do-re-mi-fa-so featuring Noluntu J, M_Kay and Switchy, No or Yes featuring Elihle, It will end in lobola featuring M_Kay and Ryan Synth, Kubuhlungu featuring Elihle, Hello and Sibancane featuring Asante Mo and Skido Flex.

Mawiza said he is geared up for the gig where he will give thanks to God for the gift of life.

“I am ready to drop my album after a while l haven’t released any work. The EP is something that my fans should be geared up for as it has talented artistes from the region.

“Besides, I am not used to hosting birthdays and turning 30 means a lot, thus l thought it’s wise that l give credit to the Lord for such a blessing to be still alive,” said Mawiza. – @mthabisi_mthire
