Mazowe to auction stray cows

MAZOWE Rural District Council has announced that it will auction all stray livestock in the area and people with missing livestock should approach the local authority by Friday. In a notice issued by the council’s poundmaster, Mr Trymore Kondo, on Saturday, the owners of the stray animals should approach the council to idnetify their stock. “All stray (animal) seekers and buyers are invited to come to buy or identify their stock. Buyers are required to pay a non-refundable bidding fee of $12,” he said.

The auction will be held on November 24. Mr Kondo said the livestock to be auctioned comprised one brown blackish heifer without horns, black ox with white patches under its rear leg, medium sharp horns curving upwards, one light brown cow without horns.

One black juvenile bull with short horns pointing upwards, one brown juvenile with short horns pointing upwards, black ox with horns curving upwards, one white billy goat with short horns pointing upwards and a brown blackish he-goat with horns pointing upwards and not castrated.
