Mazowe West legislator Kazembe Kazembe has built a classroom block in his constituency with the help of the Government and the local community. The legislator recently toured the school which has just been roofed and urged the local community to unite in developmental projects.
“The Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio Economic Transformation entails that we work together as a unit in developmental projects in our areas. I am happy that we worked together in constructing this school for our children.
“These children are the future leaders and we should make sure that they access education which is a human right,” he said.
The school, which is located in the Three Sisters area, will be named Three Sisters Primary School.
Cde Kazembe urged the political leadership in the area to work in harmony for the good of the community.
“We should work together councillors and ward chairmen to make sure we fulfil the peoples’ aspirations.
“Councillors should identify areas which need to be attended to so that we can notify Government.
“We must however, not always wait for Government because it is constrained and has a lot of work to attend to so must mobilize ourselves and attend to other community needs,” he said.
Mazowe West ward 24 councillor Otilia Chiwanza thanked MP Kazembe for the role he played in the construction of the school.
“We were given some of the materials for this project by Government but we did not have money to construct the school MP Kazembe made sure the builders were paid. We hope he will continue to assist us in other projects.
“This is a new area hence we require a lot of infrastructure and you (MP Kazembe) as the local legislator you were unlucky to lead this area because we will always ask you for more,” she said.
Zanu-PF chairman for Zvakanaka District Cde Fox Gweshe also hailed the legislator for carrying out various projects in the area.
“The school also requires a borehole and toilets. We hope you will assist us in these two projects,” he said.
