MAZWI Primary School in Magwegwe North suburb, Bulawayo has become the latest beneficiary of the Parliament of Zimbabwe’s Public Education Outreach Programme, an initiative aimed at deepening learners’ understanding of Parliament, democracy and civic participation.

The programme uses interactive engagements with learners to provide a unique opportunity for students to appreciate the constitutional role and functions of Parliament, the legislative process and the importance of citizen involvement in governance.

Through the outreach initiative, learners are exposed to knowledge about the country’s democratic institutions and how Parliament operates, helping them better understand Zimbabwe’s governance systems.

The programme also seeks to inspire learners to understand their country’s history and their place within Zimbabwe’s development journey.
Parliament of Zimbabwe said the initiative is designed to equip students with knowledge about Parliament and their civic responsibilities, empowering them to become informed, active and responsible citizens who can contribute meaningfully to national discourse and decision-making.
