MBCA Bank yesterday officially opened a branch in Gweru.
The opening of the branch comes hard on the heels of another one which was opened in Kwekwe last year.
MBCA chairman, Willard Zireva, said the Gweru Branch is one of the two carrying the Nedbank branch of the future concept which entails a client-centered approach.
He said: “The branch of the future concept stems from a client centered approach to deliver instinctive experienced approach channels.
We will continue to enhance our branches to include other innovative state of the art digital platforms so that our clients can enjoy both technology and that personal touch.”
Zireva said the bank plans to introduce more new products on the market as it has a positive outlook on the future of the economy.
The bank introduced some of its new products on to the market which include mobile banking which enables clients to pay their utility bills and MBCA net which offers internet platforms, among others.
MBCA branches are located in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Kwekwe, Zvishavane and Gweru.
Meanwhile, MBCA donated $5,000 to Gweru Provincial Hospital that would go towards drilling of a borehole and the purchase of medical equipment for the paediatric ward.
The cheque was handed over to the Medical Superintendent, Dr Fabian Mashingaidze by MBCA Managing Director, Charity Jinya.
Jinya said the donation will go a long way in assisting the provincial hospital in improving health standards, particularly to infants.
“As a bank we have realised that achieving social sustainability requires more than just financial support. It demands commitment to various principles that include community empowerment and social transformation. We will also invest in time and our skills,” she said.
