Mbeba not for sale

WARRIORS defender Andrew Mbeba has extended his stay at Bulawayo giants, Highlanders and will not be for sale to Castle Lager Premier Soccer League rivals until 2026.

A Soccer Star of the Year finalist, Mbeba was among the most sought-after players in the league but Highlanders successfully shrugged off their rivals and immediately declared that they will only be tempted by a European offer.

“…On that note, Andrew “Tower” Mbeba remains a Highlanders player until 2026. Unless he goes to Europe of course, we will be celebrating the centenary with him,” posted Highlanders on their social media platforms on Saturday.

Apart from Mbeba, Highlanders are currently engaged with the players whose contracts expire on December 31.

The club says the negotiations are progressing smoothly as they hope to assemble a squad strong enough to challenge for the league title next season.
