McClurkin jets in today

International Airport today at 9:20pm ahead of his concert this Saturday.
Besides the much-hyped concert at Glamis Stadium, McClurkin and his 14-member team will conduct a series of worship workshops tomorrow at the Harare International Conference Centre.
Dubbed “A weekend of Worship”, the event precedes the Call to Worship Night which begins at 5:30pm at the same venue.
The workshops are aimed at sharing and discussing various praise and worship topics that incorporate management of the band and choir.
It is hoped that participants will leave with knowledge of how it’s done, step-by-step and experience of performing on the stage in front of an audience.
Other areas to be covered by the series of worship will include song writing, leading worship, choir directing and sou-nd engineering.
“The workshops are being conducted by some of our visiting musicians from the United States so that we also learn from their experiences.
“One of the most important topics however on the day shall be, ‘Understanding Worship’ which is a key factor is delivering worship itself and is a more personal experience for any worshipper,” Pastor Phillip Pike, the organiser of the workshops said.
He urged all Christians with a passion for worship not to miss the workshops, as this would be an opportunity of a lifetime.
“The workshop will be running for the second year this year having started successfully in 2010 with a significant num-ber of participants from different chur-ches and we expect to build upon those successes to give more resources and notes in the near future,” he said.
