“His death is a sad loss to the MDC-T family as he was a unifier and peace loving person.
“We are joining the people of Chipinge in mourning this fatherly figure, as Sen Rimbi was also a traditional leader. He was also our pillar of strength,” he said.
Mr Muchauraya said no funeral arrangements had been made yesterday but indications were that he would be buried in Chipinge later this week.
Sen Rimbi is survived by his wife, Joyce, eight children and 11 grandchildren.
