Meditation is an act of faith

Pauline Matanda

“LET the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” — Psalms 19:14

Meditation is an act of faith.

The verb meditate means pondering deeply, studying and musing. Meditating on the Word is a focused repetition of phrases from the Scripture.

Meditation brings success. God told Joshua to keep meditating on the Word for his prosperity. We find this in Joshua 1:8, which reads: “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Meditating on the Word of God makes his message at home in your heart and brings about more faith as you keep repeating it (the Word).

Romans 10:17 reads: “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

This is how your spirit mingles with the Holy Spirit and His mind becomes your mind, His thoughts your thoughts.

You begin to speak for Him with authority and He confirms what you say by doing it.

So, today, take time to meditate on the Scripture and make it your daily spiritual activity.

Use the authority of the Scripture and see it come to pass in Jesus’ name.
