Meet one of Arenel’s gems

LEROY Ndlovu of Arenel Movers has had a fine start to his season and has also contributed to his team’s good performance.

Ndlovu, who is on loan from Premiership side Chicken Inn, will have his parent club thinking twice as he has managed to get game time at Arenel and is doing very well.

The midfielder has a seven-goal contribution as he has scored three goals and recorded four assists in the first 10 matches.

He has appeared in every match having started six and playing four as a substitute.

Alongside Ricaldo Sibanda who has also been sensational for the team, Ndlovu, well known as “Sparta” will hope that his contribution to the team will have a big impact which might help them gain promotion to the top-flight football league.

The two players have scored nine goals between them, confirming they are important cogs in the team.

Speaking to the Chronicle, Ndlovu said he is happy to have contributed to the team’s good start to the season as they are yet to lose a match.

He said the weekend game against ZPC Hwange is a big one as it will influence their title chasing.

“I am happy to be playing here and I want to say that I have settled well here.

“The level of competition in this league is very high and as such is helping to build my career given that I am on loan from a Premiership side. The coaches have also helped me settle down,” said Ndlovu.

Ndlovu, who has represented Chicken Inn from junior level up to the first team via their Division Two side, has been loaned previously to CIWU.

Arenel will play ZPC Hwange this Sunday at White City Stadium.
