Hip hop artiste Meister has poured his heart out to fans in his self-song titled “Tafadzwa”, which he did with chart topping RnB crooner Jay Mashaire. The rapper, whose real name Tafadzwa Mhuru, used the song to break off a two year musical hiatus he had embarked on for academic reasons. He had slid into silence after releasing “Vakafa Vakazorora” featuring his Masofa Panze stable mates Noble Stylz and Blacperl.
With a slow tempo and melodious rhythm the song touches on his struggles both in an out of the music industry. In the song which has been receiving rotation on local radio stations, Meister preaches love, perseverance and hard work in the track which was produced by upcoming producer Cassper Beatz.
Jay Mashaire added a classic urban grooves touch to the song with his mellow vocals on the song as he delivered a catchy chorus. The forgotten vocalist gave people a reminder of why he topped charts a few years ago with his hit song “Hana Yangu”, which was on local radio stations for a long period.
The single “Tafadzwa”, is the first song off Meister’s upcoming album “Sekutamba Sekuseka” which is scheduled to be released in December. Local hip hop acts have been receiving airplay and attention in 2016 more than any other years with artistes like Takura, Sharky and T Gonzi featuring prominently.
