Victor Maphosa in Marondera
A sombre atmosphere engulfed a Marondera funeral parlour today during a funeral service for Evelyn Mitchel Katakwe and Tawananyasha Chibvongodze who were murdered in cold blood by Ezekiel Chibvongodze on Sunday night.
The deceased will be buried tomorrow in Dotito, Mashonaland Central, at the Chibvongodze homestead.
Chibvongodze was Katakwe’s husband and Tawananyasha’s father.
Relatives of the deceased could not hold back their tears as they filed past the two’s coffins.
Chibvongodze is in custody after he was denied bail at the Marondera Magistrates Court.
He was charged with murder and will return to court on August 6.
