The National Men’s Forum for Economic Development, in partnership with Chitungwiza Central Hospital, on Wednesday, engaged in an exercise to clean the hospital’s environs in order to enhance patient care and the hospital’s ambience.
Since last year, the organisation has maintained the hospital’s surroundings by cutting grass and removing waste products.
Speaking to Zimpapers, Chitungwiza Central Hospital public relations officer, Ms Hilda Nyabvudzi, hailed the sacrifices made by the men, saying their contribution will help the hospital in its quest to contribute to the attainment of an upper-middle-income society by 2030.
“We are grateful for the work that has been done by the National Men’s Forum for ED since last year, proving the roots of men’s duties to society.
“The hospital acknowledges Health Forum Advisor, Dr Obadiah Moyo, for supporting these men towards Vision 2030,” said Ms Nyabvudzi.
In his remarks, the National Health Advisor for the National Men’s Forum, Dr Obadiah Moyo, stated that Chitungwiza Central Hospital is only one of the many projects the forum will continue to support nationwide.
“We are in the process of strengthening our relationships with our partners who will take us through the quest for success,” said Dr Moyo.
“Specifically for Chitungwiza Hospital, we will support them to restore their heydays for the benefit of the local community.”
National Men’s Forum for ED chairperson, Cde Kudzanayi Gavanza, expressed profound gratitude for working on health projects with the Forum’s National Health Advisor, Dr Moyo, noting his extensive knowledge of all aspects of health.
“We are therefore rallying behind Dr Moyo as we move forward with the health aspects of our noble organisation,” he said.
“We have so many health projects that we will unleash with him throughout Zimbabwe, with full participation of men and their families.
Logistics officer, Mr Elisha Chiripanyanga, emphasised mobilisation and awareness for all men to participate in national goals.
“It is time for us as men to fulfil our duties, far from criticism but in unity to build one nation,” he said.
