METH & BRONCLEER BUST Couple, maid in drug shame

COPS in Masvingo arrested a Chivi couple and their maid after a tip-off led them to a stash of crystal meth and Broncleer cough syrup in Guti Village.

On Sunday 10 August, police swooped in and cuffed Nyaradzo Dambudzo (35), her lover Emmanuel Gwede (52), and their 20-year-old maid, Mechulletar Matuka.

The trio’s hideout, police said on X, turned into a crime scene as officers seized the illicit drugs — both linked to the spiralling drug and substance abuse scourge wrecking communities.

Police warned that the war on drugs is far from over.
