SEASONED bodybuilder Simbarashe Mhaka has upped his preparations ahead of this year’s World Fitness Championships set for Germany early next month.

Mhaka, who has won several international tournaments, will be expected to fly the country’s flag once again when he takes to the stage.

The Kwekwe born bodybuilder is set to leave the country for Berlin, Germany for this year’s edition of the International Fitness Federation contest.

The multi award-winning hulk is expected to leave the country on October 30 for the contest set for November 5 and he says all is going well during his training.

“I am now preparing for the 2023 World Fitness Championship to be held in Germany and I am happy that my training schedule is going on well. I started training last week and I think I still have a month to work on all my strengths and weaknesses before I leave the country.

“I have already started my diet and I am still appealing for support during this time so that I will be at my best when I go for the contest.

“Dieting is a bit challenging as it is expensive so I am hopeful we will get there before the actual date,” said Mhaka.

Mhaka is one of the few local bodybuilding athletes with international pro-cards like Regina Jonga and Precious Mujuru.
