RISING gospel musician, Mathias Mhere has paid tribute to his fans in Bulawayo saying their support has earned him much respect in the gospel music industry. He said he is even considering adopting Bulawayo as his second home. Mhere, who is undoubtedly one of the country’s rising talents in the gospel circles, made the statement on Saturday after a successful mini gospel extravaganza at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre, which attracted a sizeable crowd. “I am humbled with the support I am getting from the people of Bulawayo and I was not expecting such an exceptional turnout. This is obviously earning me so much respect in the industry. The same happened when I came here three weeks ago with Pastor Charles Charamba, said Mhere.
The young gospel musician who is on top of his game said his music was not only appealing to locals but Southern Africa gospel lovers as well.
This follows his successful show in Mozambique, which he said attracted a bumper crowd at Chimio Stadium.
The organiser of the gospel fiesta, Pastor Lillian Bwanya, of the AFM Northend Miracle Centre, commended local fans who attended the show.
Mhere rose to prominence with his debut album Anoita Minana which has popular tracks like Favour, Chipositora and Areka.
