HIGHLANDERS chairman Kenneth Mhlophe has rallied Bosso members and fans to tighten unity, organise into chapters and protect the famous black and white brand as the club marks a historic milestone.
Speaking boldly to members, Mhlophe said organised chapters have become the backbone of the Castle Lager Premiership giants, providing crucial support during challenging times.
“The management expresses its sincere appreciation for their loyalty, financial contributions and operational assistance,” said Mhlophe.
“In these difficult times, we appreciate their support as we always endeavour to make the best decisions for this great club.”
The Bosso boss said strong, organised membership structures had helped keep the club afloat and remained key to its future stability and growth. However, it was not all praise and smiles.
Mhlophe issued a stern warning to fans over bad behaviour on match days, saying indiscipline was hurting the club’s image and scaring away potential sponsors.
“The net effect of negative actions is that it reduces the brand value and makes it less attractive to potential sponsors and partners,” he said.
With Highlanders celebrating their 100th anniversary, the chairman urged supporters to rise to the occasion and act as true custodians of the club’s rich legacy.
“In this milestone year, the 100th year, we encourage everyone to support the team with pride and embody the values that have allowed the club to reach this historic achievement,” said Mhlophe.
Turning to stakeholders, the Bosso executive extended gratitude to partners and supporters who continue to stand with the club, despite recent struggles on and off the pitch.
“We reaffirm our commitment to sound governance, improved performance and stakeholder engagement as we prepare for the new 2026 season,” said Mhlophe.
He said the Bosso leadership was determined to restore Highlanders to their rightful place among the country’s football elite.
“We remain resolute in our determination to restore Highlanders Football Club to its rightful competitive position and to deliver a season marked by improved performances on the pitch and strong governance off it,” he said.
Mhlophe said as Bosso look ahead to the 2026 season, unity, discipline and pride must define the next chapter of the club’s century long journey.
