In a heartwarming gesture, hundreds of elderly villagers and those with disabilities in Mhondoro-Mubaira’s Ward 6 were given blankets and food hampers on Wednesday, courtesy of President Mnangagwa’s Advisor, Dr Tempter Paul Tungwarara.

Recognising the importance of keeping warm and nourished, the generous donations were also extended to health institutions in the ward, ensuring that the needs of the community are met during the coldest months of the year.

The Member of Parliament for the area Cde Chamu Chiwanza expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Mnangagwa and Dr Tungwarara for his compassionate response to the community’s needs.

“We are genuinely thankful to President Mnangagwa for providing Devolution Funds that have driven significant development in our area,” he said.

“His commitment to ensuring that our residents receive essential farming inputs and food aid is commendable.

“As we brace ourselves for the chilly winter, Dr Tungwarara’s contributions of blankets and food items are a vital source of comfort for the elderly and disabled. This initiative brings warmth not only physically but also in spirit, reminding us all of the importance of community support.”

The kindness did not stop there, as food items were also distributed to other villagers, in a display of a collective effort to uplift those in need.
