Jacey Carrick, 16, played in United‘s behind-closed-doors friendly against Ineos-owned Lausanne.
At least 22 players were missing through international duty or injury, so Carrick drafted in several academy players.
Midfielder Jacey got a runout, having played five times for the Under-18s this season.
Jacey Carrick joined the United academy at the age of six and signed his first-year scholarship contract with the club in July.
His Instagram is entirely dedicated to his boyhood club, sharing proud moments including youth tournament wins and his Class of 26 scholarship deal.
He came through the ranks with Kai Rooney and the pair have been pals since they were young boys.
Carrick’s son first graced the Old Trafford pitch as a one-year-old in May 2011 when United embarked on a lap of honour after winning the Premier League title.
Jacey and his sister, Louise, were mascots for what Carrick believed to be his final Old Trafford appearance for United against Bournemouth in May 2016.
Carrick had been told by Louis van Gaal the previous week he would not be offered a new contract, but Van Gaal was sacked and his replacement, Jose Mourinho, wanted to keep Carrick.
Jacey also accompanied his father on the pitch after Carrick’s testimonial at Old Trafford in 2017.
Carrick admitted his son has been “United obsessed” and took him to his first away game at Burnley in January 2018.
Mourinho allowed Carrick, recovering from a heart procedure, to bring his son into the Turf Moor dressing room before the 1-0 win.Carrick wrote in his 2018 book: “I’m so proud of Louise and Jacey, because the first thing the teachers say to us at parents’ evening, is they’re both really kind and really polite..” —Sun.
