Midlands launches intwasa/Pfumvudza climate proof programme for 2023/24 farming season

THE Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Midlands Province Owen Ncube on Tuesday launched the intwasa/Pfumvudza programme at Mr Gift Ruwonde’s homestead under Chief Njelele.

According to an update by the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, at the launch, 120 farmers received a full package of Pfumvudza inputs comprising of 1x50kg Compound D fertilizer, 1x50kg AN fertilizer, 1x50kg lime and 5kg maize seed.

Minister Ncube said the distribution of inputs under the Pfumvudza programme was meant to ensure food security at household level.
