THE Zanu-PF Midlands provincial leadership has encouraged party supporters to go out in their numbers and vote resoundingly in the forthcoming by-elections, saying the party stands ready to ensure it meets the people’s socio-economic aspirations through policies tailored to achieve development at every level.
Addressing party supporters at the launch of the February by-elections campaign yesterday, Zanu-PF Midlands Province Secretary for Security who is also the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Cde Owen Ncube said voting for Zanu-PF would ensure that the livelihoods of communities were improved.

“Everyone gathered here is a commissar, let us go in our numbers and campaign for our candidates, doing door-to-door campaigns, interacting with residents of every household and also going to churches, business centres, and recreational centres spreading the good works being done by Zanu-PF in improving the livelihoods of people. I encourage you comrades gathered here to unite and avoid any tendencies of factionalism. We are one, let us campaign for our candidates in peace, talking about the good works being done by Zanu-PF and President Mnangagwa,” said Cde Ncube.
He said Mbizo constituency was the best in urban constituencies in that it managed to produce the highest votes for the President in the August 2023 harmonised elections last year. He said it was quite evident that President Mnangagwa’s leadership was people centred as it was leaving no one and no place behind in terms of development. Cde Ncube said there was no room for the opposition to win the forthcoming elections.
“We are here as the leadership to campaign for our Zanu-PF candidates who will be contesting for local authority seats on 3 February 2024. In Ward 9 we are going to vote for Cde Judha and in Ward 5 we are going to vote for Cde Tapiwa Muganhu. Chamisa’s CCC has failed. CCC is a one-man band, a party without a constitution, no ideology, and structures they are sell-outs just to impress the Western countries, America and Britain. People are living in dirty environments, with no water coming from taps, poor roads, and potholes everywhere courtesy of Chamisa’s councillors.
“On 3 February 2024 we will put an end to this by voting for leaders who know what they are supposed to do,” he said.
Cde Ncube said the Second Republic under the leadership of President Mnangagwa has embarked on numerous massive developmental projects which include the completion of the Harare-Masvingo-Beitbridge Road and other roads, construction of bridges and dams, upgrading of Hwange Unit 7 and 8, completion of the New Parliament Building, construction of Mbudzi Interchange and also youth and empowerment projects. –@NyembeziMu
