THE Mighty Warriors are set to host Malawi in an empty National Sports next week following a sanction from CAF.
Although there has been no official communication from CAF, reliable sources from ZIFA have confirmed the development.
According to information from the continental football mother body, Zimbabwe will host their next match in an empty stadium following a stampede that caused the death of a fan during the AFCON qualifier against DR Congo at the National Sports on September 28.
The CAF Disciplinary Committee is set to sit anytime soon before handing down the final ruling.
Zimbabwe could receive a hefty fine plus more matches in an empty stadium.
But for now, the next match organised by ZIFA will be played in an empty stadium.
And that should be the return leg of the Olympic Qualifier between the Mighty Warriors and Malawi on October 13.
The first leg is at the Bingu Stadium in Malawi on Friday.
