Mijintu refuses to ‘Surrender’

evidenced on his soon-to-be released album “Surrender.”
On his previous four albums Mijintu was criticised for lacking in vocal clarity, but this time the Chitungwiza-based artiste is sure to silence his critics with a flawless delivery.
And to add to the appeal, the former Orchestra Mberikwazvo member played all the instruments except for the drums, which gives his music that distinct sound and touch.
On the five-track album, Mijintu proves that like wine he has matured with age and is leading in the revival of the Barura Music genre, which was founded by his late idol and mentor, Leonard “Musorowenyoka” Dembo.
As has become the norm for the versatile instrumentalist, Mijintu tackles social and love issues which people can easily relate to.
It is an album that chides, advises and at the same time reminds people to bear in mind that life is full of pitfalls, heartaches, bitterness but can be sweet if one presses the right button.
This applies to relationships, marriage, friendship and other issues that require one’s uttermost commitment.
This will be Mijintu’s fifth album after his debut Ndafunga Barura (2007), Revai (2008), Ngoma YeZare (2008) and Degree Murudo (2009).
It is set for release anytime soon.
