Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Itayi Ndudzo is leading a high-powered Government and business delegation to the International Investment Conference (CIIT 2026), which opened on Thursday at the Horizonte Lodge and Palácio da Luz in Moatize in Tete Province, Mozambique.

Running from October 8 to 10 under the theme “Tete on the Investment Horizon: Opportunities for a New Era of Development,” the summit, co-hosted by the Tete Provincial Government and the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), is a premier platform for deal-making in central Mozambique.

Advocate Ndudzo said the delegation, comprising players in mining, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and Small and Medium Enterprises, is in Mozambique to convert historic political ties into concrete economic dividends.

“We have come with a high-powered Government delegation and some of our big corporates to explore joint ventures and market linkages,” he said.

He said Mashonaland East participation is strategic, as the province shares a border with Tete province through the Nyamapanda Border Post, a key corridor for regional and international trade.

Advocate Ndudzo is set to pitch Zimbabwe’s mining potential in a presentation titled “Exploitation of Mineral Resources in Zimbabwe,” showcasing reforms, value-addition opportunities and investor incentives on Friday.

He said the Second Republic’s bold decision to ban the export of raw minerals is a game-changer for value addition and beneficiation, and a sure way to achieve Vision 2030 of an upper-middle-income economy.
