Transformation with Mildred
A man once lived in the countryside in abject poverty. His land, rocky and dry, in an arid climate stretched for many acres but it was of no good to him.
One day a fortune teller passed by, and told the man that there were rich deposits of gold underneath his land. The man shrugged and scoffed.
He had been raised on this land and so had his forefathers before him. None of them had ever heard of gold deposits underneath. “Even if it is true,” he reasoned,
“Where on earth will I ever find the equipment to mine this hard ground?”
Several months later, another man came and offered to buy the land for a sizeable amount of money. It was enough for the man to buy a house in the high density location and start a small business to earn a living.
He agreed. It seemed a nice deal to him . . . until news of the sudden gold discovery at his former land reached him. The once-barren land was now teeming with activity, and unprecedented prosperity had befallen the new owner and those around.
Realising he had sold his land for a tiny fraction of its true worth, deep regret haunted the man right to his deathbed.
We may, to a greater extend resemble this man. According to the Word and promise of the One who created us, there are untold treasures within each of us that we do not even dream of.
And yet on the plain surface we may look just ordinary and perhaps even insignificant.
Your life right now may resemble rocky, dry and arid land, maybe you are going through some difficulties and yet here I am, a fortune teller, informing you of the rich gold deposits within you.
I am talking of divine blessings, great favour and unimaginable prosperity in your life! Great works will emanate from you!
Nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your dawn! From your belly shall flow rivers of living waters — declares the Lord.
All these and many more truths are there inside you, but they may mostly be concealed by tons of worries, boulders of disappointments, concretes of failures, layers of negative thoughts, opaque soils of limiting beliefs, against a scorching heat of sheer hardships.
The riches may be so well hidden that you may not believe in the idea of their existence.
Chris Oyakhilome, in his book, The Power of your Mind outlined, “As you learn to take from what has been deposited in your spirit and bring them to the fore through your mind, you’ll be amazed at your abilities and how much more you can do . . . There are enormous potentials deposited within you.”
You are indeed more than a gold mine and there is nothing and no one that can stop you from retrieving your untold treasure.
Unlike a physical mine, you do not need sophisticated equipment to mine what’s in you. The strength within you is all the equipment you need.
As the Word tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Sing songs of praise and maintain them on the surface of your mind.
Always be of a cheerful nature and this will guarantee you more strength. This strength is particularly useful in the following;
Dealing with all the negative aspects of your nature that’s strongly obstructing the greatness in you.
Focusing on the positive, on your dream and outcome instead of problems.
Improving your version every day to become the best that you can ever be. This include developing and maintaining empowering habits while letting go of bad ones.
Reframing challenges and seeing them as opportunities for growth, learning, and strengthening your faith.
Setting goals and developing working strategies.
With this kind of strength, every negative stronghold loses its grip over you and you find wisdom to navigate and go beyond the barriers. It is then that you get to enjoy the untold riches deposited at the core of your true and most authentic nature!!!
