Minister Moyo lights on Soti Source solar project

Energy and Power Development Minister July Moyo today commissioned a 160-kilowatt solar power project in Soti Source resettlement area in Gutu.

The project will light on Soti Source business centre and a local clinic together with Tongogara Primary and Soti Source High schools.

Speaking after commissioning the project, Minister Moyo said the project is a brainchild of government rolled out through the Rural Electrification Fund(REF).

Minister Moyo pointed out that the project shows government’s commitment to Vision 2030 of making Zimbabwe an upper middle income economy.

He challenged schools and clinics in the area to take advantage of the solar project to improve education and health delivery respectively.

Present at the commissioning ceremony was Gutu Senator and Minister of State for National Security Lovemore Matuke and Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira.
