Minister Munzverengwi joins drug abuse fight

Minister of State for Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Dr Apollonia Munzverengwi has called for everyone to fight drug and substance abuse as it is threatening the future of the country’s youths.

Dr Munzverengwi made the remarks while officiating at the launch of the province’s Culture Month at Chivese Primary School in Chikomba.

Traditional leaders and several arms of Government organised the event which attracted a huge gathering.

“We must fight drug abuse. Once our children start abusing drugs and substances, they cease to be obedient and respectful and they will always go against our laws,” said Dr Munzverengwi.

Before her address, traditional leaders and the public joined Dr Munzverengwi in a march across Chivhu town.
