MINISTER of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, has lauded local steel firm Invictus Steel Africa for its contribution to manufacturing, job creation and economic growth.

Minister Mutsvangwa made the remarks on the sidelines of a tour of the company’s workshop in the city. The visit followed Invictus Steel Africa’s recent accolade at the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Awards, where it scooped the manufacturing sector award.

“This is one of our MSMEs that is doing exceptionally well in manufacturing. The enabling environment created by President Mnangagwa has allowed indigenous businesses to expand production, adopt modern technology and improve product quality,” she said, adding that Government would continue to support SMEs through investor-friendly policies and improved market access to foster growth and employment.
