THE Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Barbara Rwodzi, visited Matobo National Park during the festive season to witness the impact of domestic tourism campaigns.

Her presence during Christmas highlights the Government’s commitment to revitalise the tourism sector and achieve the ambitious goal of a US$5 billion tourism economy by 2025.

In a statement, the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry reported an increase in the domestic tourism sector compared to the same period last year.

“It was impressive to see a number of tourists visiting Matobo National Park. These statistics are already showing an upward trend compared to the same period last year. Proportionate increase in revenue on tourism receipts is expected,” said the Ministry.
