Minister Soda leads national dialogue on online broadcasting and ethics

INFORMATION, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Zhemu Soda is today leading the official opening of the Broadcast Evolution Zimbabwe Conference in Harare, a high-level engagement aimed at aligning the nation’s media laws with the digital age.

Dr Soda is accompanied by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr Nick Mangwana, and the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) board chairperson, Mr Valentine Mutatu.

 

Running under the theme “Regulating the Digital Frontier: Online Broadcasting, Ethics, and Co-regulatory Models,” the conference seeks to address the shifting dynamics of the media landscape, driven by rapid technological advancements.

 

Discussions are expected to focus on integrating online broadcasting into existing regulatory frameworks and promoting ethical standards across emerging platforms.
