INFORMATION, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere and his Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs and Devolution counterpart Marian Chombo this morning toured a gas cylinder manufacturing and car assembly plants at Mt Hampden, Zvimba East.
The two plants, BronzePel Gas Cylinder Manufacturing and Century Auto Assembly have the capacity to employ 700 workers.
The two units are owned Mohammed Jammal.
The gas cylinder manufacturing plant has the capacity to produce three million gas tanks with capacity to increase production once the company secures export market.
Setting up of the car assembly plant is taking place with plans to start production next year.
It will have a capacity to produce 1 000 cars per month and 12 000 per year.
Their visit is part of a two-day media tour organised by the Ministry for high-impact Government and private projects in the province.
