Cabinet Ministers are on Friday set to tour road rehabilitation projects that the Government is undertaking in Midlands Province.
The tour will be taken along the Kwekwe-Gokwe and Gokwe-Nembudziya Road construction projects and Gokwe-Tshoda Road Construction Project (Jahana area), which has since been completed.
Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Felix Mhona and Midlands Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister, Owen Ncube will lead the delegation during the tour.
The Government has completed construction of a 40km stretch along the Kwekwe-Gokwe Road.
“We are pleased to announce the completion of 40km of asphalt overlay on the Kwekwe-Gokwe Road, a key upgrade enhancing durability and safety for all road users,” said the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development in a statement last week.
“Our teams are now finalising road markings to ensure clear traffic guidance and improved visibility. This milestone reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure that supports smoother, safer travel.”
On the Gokwe-Nembudziya Road construction project, specifically the Kuwirirana-Nembudziya section, was recently completed with surfacing and road marking works done at the Nembudziya Growth Point.
This phase is part of a broader initiative to improve infrastructure and connectivity in the Gokwe area, supporting economic growth and development.
The project was undertaken by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development.
