OUT of love and passion Miss Tourism Bulawayo, Natasha Carol Gora pursued her dream of becoming a model until she achieved it.
The 22-year-old beauty queen fell in love with modelling at the age of 14 while doing Form Two and by then all she could do was model at school talent shows.
“I started modelling back in 2011 while doing my Form Two. After school I pursued the dream professionally. I then graduated last year April at Fingers Academy. I am currently studying a Higher Diploma in Film and TV Studies at College of Creative Arts,” said Gora.
The model said since she started modelling it was not an easy journey as along the way she came across lessons and challenges but they did not stop her from attaining what she always wanted.
“I have had great experiences in the modelling industry as well as challenges but in all that I have learnt a lot and made friends around Zimbabwe and outside the country.
The great challenge is cyber bullying where people would body shame me either saying I am too skinny or becoming fat for modelling. At times people just said I’m not worth it and will never make it to the top but all that gave me strength to become the best I can be with the support from friends and family.
All I can tell someone who has people looking down upon them is determination drives you to reach your goals and fulfil your dreams as well as reach your destiny.
“I have had a couple of crowns, I won Miss Fingers 2018, Miss Gwanda 2018, Miss Tourism Bulawayo Personality 2018, and I am currently the Face of Cosmo.
It is a great honour to be Miss Tourism Bulawayo 2019, as this is one of my greatest achievements. I cannot promise people anything yet but I know I will do all in my power to be remembered even after my reign as Miss Tourism Bulawayo,” she said.
