Christine Ngoshi, the reigning Miss Elite Global Zimbabwe, is thrilled to announce her participation in the upcoming Miss Elite Global pageant in India next month.
Scheduled to take place from May 4 to 12 in Goa City, the contest will feature the 22-year-old Ngoshi competing against stunning representatives from around the globe.
In a recent interview with Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub, Ngoshi expressed her confidence ahead of the event.
“I’m currently busy with rehearsals to prepare for Miss Elite Global 2025 in India. With the support of my manager, Simbarashe Gwavava, I am optimistic about making a lasting impression,” she stated.
“We are working as a team, and I am determined to make Zimbabwe proud on this international stage. All the necessary paperwork is now in place, and we are ready to go and showcase our nation.”
Ngoshi, who was crowned winner in Mutare recently, has urged Zimbabweans to vote for her on the Miss Elite Global 2025 page.
“I learnt about this pageant through Instagram and joined 15 other contestants in Miss Elite Global Zimbabwe, where I managed to perform my best.
“Now that I am preparing to represent Zimbabwe in India, I am appealing for your support so that I can go far. I urge my Zimbabwean family to follow the proceedings online and get updates from the pageant organisers,” she emphasised.
Raised in Epworth, Harare, Ngoshi has vowed to defy the odds and make a significant impression.
“I come from a humble background, but now God has shown me the way, and He is using me to represent my country of birth.
“I only started modelling four years ago, but I was trained by the best minds in the industry, including Wilbert Rukato of Size Four Modelling Agency in Harare. Everything happening in my life at the moment feels like a miracle. I am truly grateful to the Almighty for this talent,” she emphasized.
Determined to bring the crown back home, Ngoshi has been actively working on an anti-gender-based violence campaign as part of her project.
“I am very passionate about women’s issues, having experienced challenges growing up. Currently, I am running a project titled S.A.F.E, which stands for Supporting Abuse-Free Environment.
“As a survivor of GBV, I advocate for a safe environment for all victims, aiming to bring about change against GBV not only in Zimbabwe but around the world.
“I strongly believe that educating and empowering teenagers can help end GBV, fostering a culture that rejects it and promotes empowerment from a young age,” she emphasised.
Inspired by her role model, Catriona Gray, a Filipino beauty queen and media personality who won Miss Universe 2018, Ngoshi is committed to following in her footsteps.
“Catriona Gray played a critical role in my life. Her journey into modelling and how she defied the odds to conquer the world is incredibly inspiring. It is my wish to emulate her achievements and make both myself and Zimbabwe proud,” she stated.
According to her manager, Simbarashe Gwavava, Ngoshi is a talented young woman with many inspiring attributes.
“Her strengths as a model lie in her communication skills and leadership qualities, and she excels in interviews.
“She understands that pageantry is a doorway for those who want to be on stage, give back, and learn more about themselves. We see a bright future ahead for Christine because she has grasped modelling in a remarkably short time. It’s hard to believe she has only four years of experience, yet she continues to win prestigious honors,” Gwavava stressed.
Gwavava was confident that Ngoshi would make a significant impression in India.
“We have been doing everything possible to ensure that she is well-prepared for the upcoming event in India. I can confidently say that we are at 95 percent in terms of preparations and logistics. We truly believe she will make us proud on this international stage. The only thing we need now is moral support as she prepares to represent Zimbabwe in India,” Gwavava added.
