MISS Global Zimbabwe 2026, Nomqhele Sisa Nkomo, has appealed for sponsorship and strategic partnerships to support her journey to the Miss Global pageant in Thailand this September, saying participation on the international stage requires substantial financial and logistical support.

The Bulawayo-born beauty queen, who is set to represent Zimbabwe at the prestigious global competition, is calling on businesses, investors and well-wishers to partner with her as she intensifies preparations for the contest.

“I’m actively looking for sponsors, investors and businesses that are willing to collaborate with me. Any support, whether financial, professional or through partnerships, will help me represent Zimbabwe at the highest possible level,” she said.

Nkomo, who enjoyed a successful run in pageantry last year after being crowned Miss Tourism Zimbabwe and Miss Nust, said she appreciates the significance of her latest title, particularly as Zimbabwe prepares to return to the Miss Global stage for the first time since Kudzai Matizha represented the country in 2023.

“I understand the responsibility that comes with the title. It’s been a while since Zimbabwe was represented on the Miss Global stage, so I know I have a lot of work to do to help bring Zimbabwe back in a meaningful way,” she said.

At the global contest, she hopes not only to compete for the coveted crown, but also to showcase Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage while building meaningful connections with contestants from across the world.

“This title comes with the responsibility of representing Zimbabwe with pride, purpose and excellence.”

With the international competition drawing closer, Nkomo has intensified her preparations, focusing on training, wardrobe selection, public speaking and strengthening her advocacy work.

Beyond pageantry, Nkomo remains committed to promoting mental health awareness and environmental sustainability through her initiative, Green Minds, which seeks to highlight the link between personal well-being and the environment.

“Most people think mental health and environmental sustainability are separate issues, but they should be viewed as one entity. Our environment directly affects our mental health, and that understanding is how Green Minds was born. I’m working on strengthening my advocacy work through Green Minds and ensuring that I represent Zimbabwe to the best of my ability both on and off the stage,” she said.

Drawing from her own experiences with mental health challenges, Nkomo said the initiative encourages people to care for both their surroundings and their emotional well-being.

Describing herself as resilient, determined and strong-willed, Nkomo said she is committed to giving her all as she prepares to carry the Zimbabwean flag onto the global stage.

“As I prepare to represent our country in Thailand, I carry Zimbabwe with me in everything I do. I ask for your support, your prayers and your encouragement. My goal is to make our nation proud and to show the world the beauty, strength, resilience and potential that Zimbabwe has to offer,” she said.
