From Runway to Ring Lights! . .Miss & Mr Nust Pageant Gets Buffed Up and Logged On

The Miss and Mr Nust pageant is flexing new muscles and riding the digital wave!

In a bold twist to the annual glam-fest, two sizzling new titles have been added: Mr Bodybuilder and Mr & Miss Digital Content Creator — a clear sign that this isn’t your usual catwalk strut anymore.

This year’s edition, themed “Elegance beyond Borders”, is tearing down the old pageant playbook and serving up a cocktail of charisma, creativity, and muscle.

The revamped show aims to not only crown the hottest faces at the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) but also to honour those lifting heavy — both in the gym and in the algorithm-driven world of content creation.

SRC President Stacy Mujuru says it’s more than just a glow-up.

“In the spirit of spearheading an era of change at the institution, we recognised the influence pageants like these have on students’ futures,” she said.

“Traditionally, the goal was to create a memorable experience for contestants and guests. But we asked ourselves — how do we add more value with what we already have?”
The answer? Bulk up and go viral.

“That’s when the idea was born — to reflect the growing popularity of content creation as a career path and the widespread embrace of healthy lifestyles,” said Mujuru.

“Crowning a Mr Bodybuilder and Mr & Miss Digital Content Creator is our way of inspiring students to pursue their passions beyond the runway, build their portfolios, and make a lasting impact.”

The Mr Bodybuilder category is all about muscle, discipline, and dedication — a salute to those who don’t skip leg day. Meanwhile, Mr & Miss Digital Content Creator will shine a spotlight on campus creators who are making waves online with reels, posts, and powerful storytelling.

With auditions now open, the call is out for students who’ve got beauty, brains, brawn — or a killer TikTok game.

Last year saw Krystial Osieki and Dylan Maunze snatch the Miss and Mr Nust crowns. But this year? The game’s changed — and it’s about to get fierce, fit, and filtered!
