Miss Teen of the Universe finalists unveiled

THE Miss Teen of the Universe pageant has announced its top 15 finalists, following a highly competitive launch and fundraising event held on last weekend at the luxurious De Lux Villa in Bulawayo.

The 15 finalists, selected from a pool of 20 talented young women, will compete for the coveted title in the grand finale scheduled for June 26 in Harare.

The contestants showcased their talents and skills in three exciting segments: Talent, Advocacies, and Evening Wear.

Guests looked absolutely glamorous, with the contestants, hosts, and performers turning heads with their stylish outfits and charismatic presence.

Guest speaker Dr. Nothando Moyo delivered a powerful keynote address, focusing on finding leadership qualities and women’s empowerment.

She emphasized, “The girl child is our future, and as we crown a Miss Teen of the Universe, we are not just crowning a beauty queen, but empowering a leader who will uplift and inspire others. This pageant is not just a competition, but a project to uplift the girl child, to give her a voice, and to provide her with the tools and resources she needs to succeed.”

The event featured captivating performances by talented artists, including No Name Dance Crew, TBk, Khally S and many more . The judges, Anitta Neshiri and Nkanyeziyethu, were impressed by the contestants’ skills and charisma.

The fundraising event was a huge success, with proceeds going towards supporting the girls .The organizers are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of many young women.

“I’m honoured to be among the top 15 finalists,” said Rutendo Rachael Zimondi, one of the finalists.This experience has taught me so much about myself and about the importance of empowering young women. I’m excited to take on the next challenge and show the world what I’m made of ,as I have already started with the preparations of the main event”

The finalists are: Rutendo Rachael Zimondi, Mitchell Mitoti, Mongile Moyo, Nomvelo Mpofu, Shalom Lerato Geza, Amber Cele, Nokutenda Bungu, Angela Ncube, Ashanthelle Chapenga, Zibusiso Salome, Rutendo Mapfumo, Nokutenda Nyamakwere, Natasha Tanatswa Mabwe, Princess Kimberly Masters, and Tadiwanashe Manene.

Last year the pageant was held in Bulawayo, with Victoria Ncube from Umguza, Matabeleland North, emerging as the winner.
