MISS Universe Zimbabwe, Roseanna Hall, is set to take viewers on an exciting journey across the country through her upcoming tourism and cultural television programme, Tastes and Trails.
The show, which is expected to premiere soon, aims to promote Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage, diverse culinary traditions and unique tourism attractions to both local and international audiences.
Giving fans a sneak preview of what to expect, Hall recently visited Mbare, Harare’s oldest and most iconic township, where she explored the bustling Mbare Musika market.
Widely regarded as the heartbeat of Zimbabwe’s informal economy, the market serves as a major distribution centre for fresh produce sourced from different parts of the country.
During the visit, Hall interacted with traders experiencing everyday life in one of the capital’s busiest commercial hubs.
She also sampled local cuisine from food vendors who cater to the thousands of travellers and commuters who pass through the transport hub daily.
Speaking about the project, Hall said “Tastes and Trails” seeks to celebrate Zimbabwe’s people, traditions, food and destinations while encouraging more visitors to discover the country’s hidden gems.
“Taste’s and Trails coming to your screens soon sneak preview for you here of the show promoting tourism to show the world the best of Zimbabwe . We went to Mbare our oldest and most iconic township, the heartbeat of the hustle.
“The musika is a major trading market for foods and vegetables distributing agricultural produce from around the country. Of course we had to sit down in the center of the transport hub to have a meal from one of the many food vendors that serve the travelers that pass through here daily.”
She said the programme will travel to different provinces, highlighting local communities, traditional dishes, historical landmarks and tourism attractions that make Zimbabwe a unique destination.
