The Miss World Zimbabwe finalists will be unveiled to the public today at a ceremony set for Miss Zimbabwe Trust offices in Eastlea.
The 15 finalists who arrived in Harare yesterday from Victoria Falls will spend their last week of boot camp in the capital city ahead of the finals taking place next week Saturday in Shamva.
Miss Zimbabwe Trust spokesperson, Tendai Chirau said all was set for the ceremony which would be graced by the Trust’s patron, Kiki Divaries.
“We’re happy with the quality of models we received this year. Our hope is to crown the best queen and we’re confident we’ll do just that, come April 25,” Chirau said.
He said special tickets to the finale taking place at the Mermaids Pool in Shamva could be bought at the Miss Zimbabwe Trust offices.
“There are no general tickets to the finale as we are issuing out invites but those interested in attending the finale can buy special tickets for $300 at the La Chelle offices,” he said.
The finalists will undergo rigorous catwalk training, visit charity institutions as well as public speaking for the better part of next week in preparation for the final day.
Tomorrow, they will join the rest of the nation in celebrating the country’s Independence at the National Sports Stadium.
The lady who will be crowned queen will earn herself a spot at the Miss World finale among other prizes which are yet to be revealed.
