MO SALAH has picked Trabzonspor as his next club – and he is being paid handsomely to make the shock switch to Turkey.
A lucrative financial package has been agreed with the Salah camp which will see him continue to pocket big bucks, as he did at Liverpool.
Reports in Turkey indicate that a £14.6million base salary has been signed off, plus an additional £4.3m in bonuses.
That should take his total weekly remuneration to just over £363,000 a week.
And, crucially, Salah will net pretty much all of it as Turkish clubs cover their players’ tax liabilities.
So where does that leave the 34-year-old among the best-paid footballers on the planet?
Actually, surprisingly low down.
On wages and bonuses alone, Salah sits 32nd on the list.

And while the tax situation means Salah would be bumped up the rankings in real terms, others ahead of him – particularly those playing in Saudi Arabia – also benefit from favourable tax terms.
The list is dominated by Saudi-based stars, with six of them making up Capology‘s top 10.
Al-Nassr‘s Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Hilal’s Karim Benzema are miles ahead of the rest – each taking home multiple millions per week.
Flying forwards Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are next, followed by the Senegalese Saudi Pro League duo of Sadio Mane and Kalidou Koulibaly.
Vinicius Jr, Jamal Musiala, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ivan Toney complete the rankings, with Salah a fair way behind.
The Egyptian had been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for years.
Liverpool rejected a mega £150MILLION bid from Al-Ittihad in 2023, and there were murmurs of a contract proposal worth £500m overall.
But Salah will continue his football journey in Turkey, where fans flocked to Ataturk Airport on Wednesday to give him a rapturous welcome – Sun.
