MODEL Noma Mokoni celebrated her birthday by launching the Mokoni Model Management (MMM) which is aimed at identifying, developing and placing aspiring models on the international stage.
Noma, who is based in Los Angeles, United States, described MMM as the fulfilment of a long-held dream inspired by her years of experience in the global fashion industry.
Noma said her experience, working with some of the world’s leading modelling agencies, gave her valuable insight into what it takes to build successful international careers.
She also mentors more than 200 aspiring models around the world by helping them build professional portfolios and compete at the highest levels of the industry.
“This isn’t just my birthday. It’s the beginning of something I’ve dreamed about for a long time.
“After years of working as an international model, learning from some of the world’s leading agencies, and seeing first-hand how careers are built, I’m proud to introduce MMM.”
She said the new agency would focus on discovering exceptional talent, providing professional development and connecting models with opportunities around the world.
“This isn’t just a business. It’s a commitment to creating opportunities, opening doors and helping the next generation of models build lasting international careers,” she said.
Noma said launching the agency on her birthday made the occasion even more meaningful, saying she wanted to build something that would have a lasting impact beyond her own career.
She expressed gratitude to supporters who celebrated with her and have stood by her throughout her journey.
“As much as I would have loved to thank each of my supporters individually, I simply want to say how truly grateful I am.
“They make me feel so loved, seen, celebrated and appreciated,” she said.
Noma said she wants to continue working towards creating opportunities for young talent.“I can’t wait to continue putting in the work, creating opportunities and changing lives.”
She is a Miss Universe Zimbabwe finalist who was raised in Gwanda and Bulawayo.
She relocated to Cape Town in 2018, where she was discovered by a talent scout in 2021.
Known for her striking “bald beauty” look, she is represented by agencies such as Women Management Los Angeles.
Away from modelling, she is involved in philanthropy through a charity initiative that supports children in rural communities with essential resources.
