A new arts initiative aimed at empowering models, under the banner Models in Business for Economic Development (Models4ED), has been formed, affiliated with the ruling party, Zanu PF.
Founded by Saneliso “Nelisa” Sibanda, the group is driven by the mantra “Empowering Young People, Shaping Economic Futures”.
Nelisa said their mission is to empower young people through modelling, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to succeed in an ever-changing economic landscape.
“We believe that by modelling economic development, we can shape a brighter future for all. Through our innovative approach, we aim to equip young people with the skills and confidence to become active contributors to their local and global communities, provide hands-on experience with economic modelling, data analysis, and problem-solving, and foster a community of young leaders who can collaborate, innovate, and drive economic progress.
“We also want to prepare the next generation for success in an ever-changing world, empowering them to become agents of positive change. At Models4ED, we believe that young people have the power to shape the future of economic development,” said Nelisa.
She said they are calling on models to come on board to make their talent a profession.
