Zanu PF is working towards modernising its operations through empowerment-driven politics, the party’s Political Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha has said.

Speaking at an inter-district meeting held at Rufaro Stadium in Harare on Tuesday, Cde Machacha said party members should utilise the growing empowerment initiatives being spearheaded to uplift the economic well-being of all citizens.

President Mnangagwa has availed empowerment opportunities for war veterans, women and the youth.

“Modern politics must uplift people’s lives. Politics without empowerment is dead. Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo. Let’s take advantage of the economic policies availed to us so that we all prosper,” said Cde Machacha.

He encouraged a culture of appreciation rather than destructive criticism, saying development thrives where there is hard work, unity, and support for national leadership.

Cde Machacha called for the urgent implementation of the Mutare conference resolutions, with the key being the endorsement of the extension of President Mnangagwa’s term of office to 2030.

The conference agreed that this resolution should be implemented before the 2026 conference.

Cde Machacha urged all party members to abide by the conference resolutions.

“Anyone found opposing the conference resolutions will face disciplinary action. The resolutions were agreed by all delegates, hence no one has the power to oppose them,” he emphasised.

He said the party is currently capturing data for cell structures.
