TOP female boxer Monalisa Sibanda has signed a one-year contract with British boxing management company Glove Management in a move expected to revive her career after a lengthy period of inactivity.
The contract, which Zimpapers Sports Hub has seen, was signed by Sibanda and Glove Management manager Faizal Ebrahim.
Sibanda was elated after signing the agreement, which she believes could transform her career. “I always tell people that everything is possible.
“The signing of the contract is a milestone achievement which is set to transform my career,” said Sibanda, who had gone for more than a year without a fight.
Sibanda last fought Malawian Ruth Chisale in August 2025, losing by unanimous points decision.
She has remained in training since then, keeping boxing at the centre of her discipline and lifestyle.
Sibanda is a trailblazer in Zimbabwean boxing, having become the country’s first licensed female professional boxer.
Glove Management is a professional boxing management and fighter representation company based in London. According to Ebrahim, the agency guides the careers of professional boxers, connecting talent, particularly from Africa, with major platforms and fight cards in the UK and around the world.
The company also manages rising talent and champions, with its stable including high-profile female boxers such as Celina “Pretty Assassin” and female heavyweight Blessing “Lady B” Chukwuede.
Chukwuede is an undefeated Nigerian professional boxer and soldier with a 7-0 record.
The company also coordinates international debuts, title opportunities and major promotional partnerships for fighters competing under prominent banners and streaming platforms.
Sibanda believes the partnership will open doors for her to face some of the world’s leading female boxers.
They say fortune knocks at a man’s door once in a lifetime.
“This company manages top international boxers and, for me, signing with them was the link that I desperately needed to revive my career,” she said.
