Flamboyant musician Energy Mutodi’s woes keep mounting. The musician’s property was attached on Tuesday and went under the hammer yesterday over a debt he has with Brance PVT Ltd a company that renovated his Charlotte Brook house.
The musician lost Futronic plasma television, two brown armchairs, eight dining chairs, Nikai machine, Sunbeam sandwich maker, four-piece headboard, Defy twin-maid 800 washing machine, executive desk, four kingdom doors, food warmer, pineware sandwich maker, DVD player and Saachi oven.
Mutodi admitted he is facing hard times.
“To be honest with you I am now grounded and I have nothing to pay them with because all my bank accounts were frozen and I do not know what to do,” said Mutodi.
Mutodi’s troubles began when he was arrested over a scam involving housing stands.
The musician introduced himself with a bang in 2011 describing himself as “Chitima Chemari”.
He reportedly paid Alick Macheso a lot of money to record a duet “Angelina”.
He went on to release a number of albums in a short space of time before buying some band members of Utakataka Express.
All went wrong after the musician was involved in a number of legal battles leading to the crumbling of his empire.
