Mother Zim wins Nyabira children’s hearts at first sight . . . prompting an invitation from the children

FIRST Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, after treating the children of Nyabira to nutritious meals on Monday, was invited by the youngsters to their community the following day.

Laughter and excited chatter filled the area as children in Nyabira gathered around Dr Mnangagwa, someone they truly love, their plates brimming with nutritious meals and their faces alight with joy.

So moved were the youngsters by the warmth of the visit that they extended an invitation of their own, asking her to come and see them the following day a gesture that spoke volumes about the impact of her presence.

Mother Zimbabwe, who gladly honoured the invitation, returned to Nyabira on Tuesday, eager to spend time with the children in a more festive setting.

Upon her arrival, Mother Zimbabwe was met with bright smiles and cheerful greetings from the children.

The First Lady started by treating them to nutritious food before she sat down for an interactive session with the children.

As the day unfolded, there was a lively display of music and dance as the children sang songs of joy and gratitude.

Dr Mnangagwa clapped along, encouraging their performances, much to the children’s delight. Storytelling followed, with the youngsters sharing imaginative tales that sparked laughter and applause from everyone present.

Mother Zimbabwe listened attentively, asking questions and praising their creativity, showing genuine interest in their stories and talents.

The First Lady also took time to speak with the children individually, learning about their dreams and aspirations.

“I hold dear the children who have good manners, those who respect their parents, maintain personal cleanliness, help with household chores and are committed to going to school diligently.

“These are the children I admire and encourage, for they are the foundation of our nation’s future,” she said.

The First Lady’s warmth and encouragement left a lasting impression, inspiring both the children and the adults who had gathered to witness the event.

By the end of the day, Dr Mnangagwa expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the invitation and promised to continue supporting initiatives that nurture the well-being and talents of young people.
